Nanowrimo 2008
Yes, it happened again this year. Book four of the five got enough written on it to get me across the finish line. I found focus this year. I used The Marshall Plan Workbook to get me focused on who is in the story. I have so many characters that I can use to tell the story that I needed the help. I am so glad I did. I had read about managing viewpoint by reading Writing Fiction. That was a book I found through one of the Ravelry Nano-ers. She had a quote from it that really intrigued me and on that alone, I bought the book. I read all the way through it in preparation for Nano. I didn’t read the stories though. I won’t do that until I get into the editing part of the process.
The other book I used was Story Architecture. That helped me decide how I was going to tell the story. She takes all the plots and combining classifications, gave me a better view of how to manage what has to happen to make what I am writing, a story.
(I know this isn’t a very good description of what I want to say. I’m tired. It’s the end of the month and I have spent the day doing cleanup. I posted the log and want to write this part also. It can wait.)
